Today saw a partial eclipse of the sun. From my vantage point we had approx 85% coverage. It was beautifully fine until the eclipse was halfway through, then the temperature dropped and the cloud arrived. As it happens this was a good thing as the cloud acted as a filter and I was able to get a few shots. I would have loved to have had a solar filter for the camera but to date I haven’t seen any in the cameras shops here in NZ.

 

Maximum Coverage. Next eclipse isn’t for another 24 odd years.
