From Here To There…

A free E-book for my readers.

Click the image below for a pdf version of a small E-book I created from a series of images chosen at random covering a span of twenty plus years. Rather than photo albums, photo books both printed and in E-book form are in my opinion of more benefit than the stand-alone photo album. I will explore this in greater detail as I collate my photo collection over the coming months. For now, this is what I am concentrating on. I would suggest viewing this in a pdf reader as a two page spread as it makes it easier to follow the path of the book, or any e-book reader that can display this way. Try the Icecream e-book reader (free version) as a possible alternative. If you have a smart TV that can read pdf files that’s a great way to view e-books.

  1. What a wonderfull book. Sometimes I look back at my early photos and think, who would want to browse these. Then I think of the special bond that my only grandaughter and I have, and I know that after I have gone her, seeing these ‘frozen moments’ from my life will connect us again. I should, no, will, make up something similar. Is there a particular programme/template to use? Thank you.

    1. Apologies for my late reply, comments aren’t being shown under all posts for a unknown reason, I’m yet to discover why this happens.

The E-book was created using a free online editor for e-books called “Canva“. Just search the name online and you will be able to signup for a free account as I did for this e-book. I originally made a printable version using Snapfish which I did some months back.
I then recreated it using Canva.
I have also made photobooks using the free downloadable app from Vistaprint (their printed versions are excellent). They also have a free online editor for making e-books, search for “Vistacreate” Anyone who has used Vistaprints’s app will recognize the interface although it’s a lot less feature rich compared to the Photobooks app. Over the summer I intend to test and create more e-books that I will make available on this website, using as many free tools as I can find so keep an eye on the blog in the New Year.
